Hi All Lovely to hear from everyone I'm ashamed to say I've been unable to paint up til the beginning of the week when I gave myself a stern talking to and did some sketching. I have a new laptop I have been getting used to but also need a new phone to complement my online activities. I'm getting used to my new role as hon Secretary for USWA and now I have got to grips with the data base I'm rather enjoying it . The horses keep us in a routine it would be easy to fall by the wayside and dally the days away but as Catherine is doing we are getting some overdue jobs done . I miss the art clubs and interaction with all you guys . Here's my latest sketch of May who will be 1 year old end of May. Love to all Lesley Hi everyone,
I'm keeping well, Robin and I are happy at home doing the garden. I have been thinking of a particular painting I would like to do but haven't got around to it yet. I miss the class and all of you. When we get back together again it will make us more appreciative of our friendship. Stay safe. Ann. Hi all Lovely to see everyone who is "keeping in touch" already with VisArt. I'm slowly but surely getting ready for my exhibition which will launch next Tuesday at 7pm. Yikes!! I'll send some images of step by step painting of some of the exhibition's paintings after that. Please join me on my website sorrelwillsart.com - "Art Sweet Art" - shameless plug here! Misty Autumn Walk Ursula M Hi Maria, that’s brilliant! Well done and thanks for making such an effort to keep everyone connected. Here’s my response to the April challenge. I thought I’d try a bit of Jean Haines style but got carried away with the detail of the giraffe itself so it’s ended up a bit of a mash up!! It took me about 3 hours and is in watercolour. Loving the emails and challenges! Please keep going. Stay safe. Ursula xo

This painting is inspired by a photgraph taken in Downings Co Donegal. It a place our familiy love very much. We have a small chalet 'just to the left of this picture'! It is painted in acrylics which is a new venure for me. I have spent Easter in this spot for as long as I can remember. I send it in a family whatsapps calling it - If I can't go to the mountain - the mountain can come to me. Alternative title - Week 3 Covid 19 Maria
Freddy says hello .... and a new Career!! Hello all Take care of your mental health and well-being. Hope everyone is being positive in these difficult times? It is so easy to focus on negatives which gets us nowhere. A few positives: painting skills developed, other mediums tried, houses cleaned to perfection, gardens weed free, cars polished, new hobbies learned, internet skills mastered. meditation, good books read, the list goes on and on. Contact with loved ones via the air waves. “Sorry coffee mornings are put on hold!” Even appearances change....paint brushes are expensive and I thought I would grow my own. Always get a job around Christmas. I must end by saying Barbara and committee are doing a great job and looking after us well. As Vera Lynn war time singer said. “We will meet again some sunny day.” Freddy Mark |
